Conference Excursions Options
There is time built into the conference schedule in the afternoon on Monday, September 23 to explore New Orleans. The conference programming will stop at 3:15pm that day. Here are some excursion options we hope you will enjoy.
Jazz Cruise on the Steamboat Natchez (CANCELLED)
7 – 9 pm (boarding time: 6pm) Cruise only (without dinner on board): If we have a group of 10+ people interested, the rate is $38.75 per person, including taxes. Non-group rate is $43 per person.
Cruise with buffet dinner: If we have a group of 10+ people interested, the rate is $65.25 per person, including taxes. Non-group rate is $72.50 per person. The Steamboat NATCHEZ decks, engine room and bars will be open for your enjoyment either before or after dinner depending upon your seating time (6pm or 7:45pm). Included in the Dinner Jazz ticket price is the Steamboat cruise, buffet dinner, and Jazz Band entertainment, and applicable taxes. Haunted French Quarter Tour
7:15 – 9:30 pm (arrive 15 to 20 minutes before tour time) Cost: $20 http://www.tourneworleans.com/haunted_set.html
Please note: The tour starts at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel entrance, 717 Orleans Street, which is a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute taxi ride) from the hotel. Click here for a walking map.
New Orleans City/Hurricane Rebirth Bus Tour (FULL)
Tour departs conference hotel at 4pm and returns around 7pm. Cost: $30. Travel through many sections of America’s most fascinating city. Learn about Hurricane Katrina, America's worst natural/manmade disaster. This tour is just as much about the inspiring recovery and strength of the human spirit as it is about tragic devastation.
