Fixing Security Pop-ups on Website 8/30/2007If you are getting security pop-ups on the website...
Some people using the ACCTA website have indicated that every time they go to the site two things occur that are annoying—they have to say yes to accepting the security certificate and between each page they get a prompt as to whether or not they want to display both secure and non secure items. This is a browser issue with internet explorer. You will have to reset internet explorer settings to stop this. First, of course, you should be running the most recent version of internet explorer. Here are instructions for resetting IE:
Open the Browser
Go to TOOLS
Click on INTERNET OPTIONS
Click on the SECURITY TAB
Click on CUSTOM LEVELS
Under “DISPLAY MIXED CONTENT” click “DISABLE”
Click OK
After doing that with the Browser still open
Go to TOOLS
Click on Internet OPTIONS
Click on the ADVANCED tab
Under SECURITY UNCHECK the following:
“WARN ABOUT INVALID SITE CERTIFICATES” AND
“WARN IF CHANGING BETWEEN SECURE AND INSECURE MODE”
Click on APPLY
Click on OK
That should do it for you. The other option is to download and use Firefox by Mozilla http://www.mozilla.com/ as your browser. It doesn’t have this problem nor does it have the many security issues that IE has.
